The 7th General Assembly Meeting (GAM) of the Health Outcomes Observatory Project (H2O) will take place on 26 September, both onsite at the Hotel Savoyen in Vienna, Austria, and online. In the afternoon, during an hybrid event, we will gather experts to discuss the role of the Pan-European Health Outcomes Observatory in advancing the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and the technical implementation of H2O.
Karolinska University Hospital together with EUHA is excited to announce a symposium titled ‘Rethinking Healthcare Systems’, scheduled for Thursday, June 13th, at Karolinska University Hospital. The discussions will revolve around critical challenges in Europe, including workforce shortages, an ageing population, and the high costs of advanced treatments, and how these challenges necessitate an EU-wide collaborative approach.
The EUHA Members’ Assembly, scheduled for June 14 in Stockholm, will be hosted by Karolinska University Hospital and will bring together representatives from all EUHA members, ten of Europe’s leading university hospitals. During the meeting, EUHA representatives will discuss EUHA’s ongoing projects, review the progress of EUHA working groups and networks, and discuss EUHA’s long-term strategy and agenda.
The Future Medicine Science Match (FMSM) is a flagship event with a focus on medical research, innovative ideas and concepts for the future of science, research and health care, taking place during the Berlin Science Week. EUHA is a network partner at this year’s conference and several EUHA colleagues will contribute by participating in panel discussions.

Rethinking healthcare systems is critical to creating resilient and sustainable healthcare that can navigate the uncertainty of the future. With nurses being the largest section of the healthcare profession, rethinking and empowering their roles and practices is fundamental to achieving meaningful changes. This year’s World Health Summit 2023 will feature a session on rethinking nursing and new competency models.
Leaders of the EUHA Nursing Network were invited as keynote speakers to a research symposium at Aarhus University Hospital on May 22nd. They presented the EUHA Nursing Mission Statement and their mapping exercise on nursing research areas in different EUHA members.
